Qualities of Good Writing

The piece of writing that I've read that has made a significant impact on my life was the federalist papers. All of the papers that I've read had several things in common; but one stands out. It is that the authors style was that they never strayed from the point that they were trying to make. Some of the content that made the writing so impressive, was that all the papers were about one subject. Prior to reading them, I thought that there was little division between the two sides; but after reading I realized there was a huge division-that exists today. Another aspect that was quite impressive was that even when they got criticism from one paper to the next they did not fight the criticism but the people who were behind it.
